Ghanaians across the country are expressing relief after learning that the presidency reached out to check on a prominent religious leader during a moment of health uncertainty.
President John Dramani Mahama sent a high level government delegation to visit Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi following widespread rumors on social media.
The founder and General Overseer of Glorious Wave Church International reportedly collapsed recently and received urgent medical care at a private health facility.
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah led the presidential delegation as the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations to visit the popular preacher and assess his condition.
He joined forces with Prophet Akwasi Agyemang Prempeh who serves as the National Coordinator for the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
Madam Gloria Dzifa Ashinyo who works as a Technical Adviser to Government Communications also joined the visit to express warm solidarity.
Delegation members conveyed personal messages of goodwill from President Mahama and wished the cleric a fast and complete recovery from his sudden illness.
Prophet Badu Kobi remains a well known figure within the national Christian community and frequently interacts with political leaders across the country.
Official updates regarding his medical status remain private, but supporters and church members continue offering prayers for his quick return to active ministry.
