Super Eagles Midfielder Joe Aribo Set to Leave Southampton Amid

Sky Bet Championship club, Southampton, are looking to sell Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo in the January transfer window, according to new reports.

Aribo, who has just six months left on his current contract, will be free to open talks with foreign clubs in January. This has placed several teams on alert as they explore the possibility of signing him ahead of next summer.

However, Southampton are not prepared to lose the midfielder for free. Reports from Saint News suggest the club will demand around €1.5 million from any interested buyers in order to sanction his exit.

The Nigerian international has been linked with a move to the Turkish Super Lig, where clubs like Göztepe and Trabzonspor are reportedly monitoring his situation closely. Both teams are said to have shown real interest and could make formal offers once the transfer window opens.

Aribo joined Southampton from Rangers but has struggled for consistent minutes this season, making a mid-season move increasingly likely as he seeks more playing time and a fresh opportunity.

With his contract winding down and interest growing abroad, January could mark the end of his spell at St Mary’s, unless a last-minute contract decision changes everything.
