Security forces are taking no chances with public safety. A joint team of military and police personnel carried out an early morning operation at Kromase near Nkwanta. The dynamic security team arrested 11 suspects and recovered serious weapons.

The security exercise took place on Wednesday as part of Exercise STARLIGHT STRETCH III. Combat Team Commander Major Muktar Saani led the operation after officers received solid intelligence. Officers conducted a targeted search to neutralize emerging security threats in the area.

Security personnel seized dangerous items during the swoop. The recovered items include a black pump-action gun, 21 live AAA cartridges, and two live BB cartridges. Officers also found a police uniform, body armour, and a locally manufactured ammunition belt. Finding actual police gear in unauthorized hands creates genuine concern for every citizen.

The Ghana Armed Forces confirmed the details in an official statement. Officials named the suspects as Benjamin Nyame, Kofi Sakyi, James Yentumi, Donkor Benyingi, Kofi Ofori, Kwasi Christian, Kelvin Agyei, Kwame Asare Yentumi, Mensah Nyimfor, Geoffrey Okuigye, and Nelson Kolali. Security forces are holding all 11 suspects at the operational base while investigations continue.

Community safety requires teamwork between citizens and security agencies. Informing security forces about suspicious activity keeps neighborhoods safe from illegal weapons. The fast action by our joint forces proves that law enforcement remains vigilant. Let us all support our officers to keep Ghana safe and peaceful.
