The Minister for Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has disclosed plans to give all principal roads in Accra a facelift ahead of Ghana’s 70th anniversary celebrations next year.

According to the minister, the exercise will form part of preparations to improve the appearance and condition of major roads in the capital.

The facelift is expected to cover principal roads across Accra as the country prepares to mark the milestone anniversary.

The move is also expected to improve the outlook of the capital and enhance the experience of residents and visitors during the celebrations.

Mr Agbodza said the government is committed to ensuring that Accra is properly prepared ahead of the anniversary.

The planned road works are expected to focus on improving the condition and appearance of major routes across the city.
