The sudden nightmare of a school fire can make any Ghanaian parent panic about their child’s safety. Sadly, a fierce fire has just gutted the House Master’s office and major storerooms at Adonten Senior High School, causing massive damage to school properties.
According to the Public Relations Unit of the Ghana National Fire Service in the Eastern Region, the blazing fire completely destroyed vital office equipment, books, student uniforms, and electronic devices. This unfortunate incident has caused a massive blow to the school’s administrative setup and learning materials.
Before the professional firefighters arrived, brave students and staff tried their best to control the flames using local means. Eventually, emergency teams from the Aburi and Akropong Fire Stations arrived on the scene and successfully stopped the fire from spreading to the nearby science block.
Thankfully, no casualties or injuries were recorded in this scary incident, and all students are safe. Fire investigators have officially started their work to find out exactly what caused the outbreak, reminding all public schools to check their wiring and stay highly alert.
