The senior national team suffered a frustrating two to nil defeat against Cote d Ivoire at the Stade de la Paix. Traveling to Bouake without several key regulars always looked like climbing a steep mountain without slippers. Malick Yalcouye opened the scoring right before halftime to break the stubborn Ghanaian resistance.
Things went from bad to worse when Franck Kessie converted a penalty in the fifty eighth minute to seal the victory for the Elephants. Our boys tried to push forward with some late counter attacks, but the home side managed the game very well. Football can be quite stubborn when luck refuses to smile on your path.
This result puts early pressure on our qualification campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Fans back home in Accra and Kumasi are already questioning the tactical approach used on the pitch. Coaches must quickly fix the leaking defense before the next round of matches comes around.
Every true supporter knows that the journey is still long, so panic will not solve our current problems. We need total focus and proper preparations to bounce back strongly against our next opponents. Keep supporting the team because the black spirit always rises when things get tough.
