An unbelievable tale of greed, assassination, and spiritual torment has completely shaken the Bono East Region.
The Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, officially revealed a shocking criminal conspiracy during a major media briefing at Atebubu. Investigations show that a local traditional ruler allegedly contracted a hit squad to murder the Queen Mother of Abamba for a bounty of GH¢50,000.
The high-profile murder case of Nana Serwaa Gyan Kuma, who was tragically shot dead at her residence on February 25, 2026, finally saw a massive breakthrough. Police officers stationed in Kasoa initially arrested a group of suspects preparing for a standard robbery operation.
During intense interrogations, a suspect named Abdul-Razak Ibrahim Langa, popularly known as Zack, surprisingly confessed to knowing about the royal assassination. The Ghana Police Service successfully apprehended Emmanuel Agyeman Darko, the Abakomahene of Akokwa, alongside a driver named Bukari Amadu. Investigators also tracked down Ishaku Alhassan, a convicted criminal currently held at Sunyani Central Prison, who is deeply connected to the conspiracy.
