Big news is here for parents, teachers, and BECE candidates across Ghana. The Ghana Education Service has officially directed all Junior High School headteachers to start uploading school selection data onto the West African Examinations Council portal.
According to an official statement signed by the Director of Schools and Instructions Division, Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, the portal activation forms a major step in the 2026 Computerised School Selection and Placement System process. School heads have a strict four-day window from Monday, August 24, to Thursday, August 27, 2026, to complete the entire submission process.
To speed up the upload process, GES enabled a concurrent login system. This allows school administrators to use the same school ID and password on multiple computers at the same time. It means schools with hundreds of students can register everyone quickly without technical delays.
Education directors and examination coordinators at regional and district levels are monitoring the exercise to prevent missing entries. Parents should cross-check their child’s selected schools, programs, and residential preferences with headteachers before the deadline passes.
Missing this four-day window could compromise a student’s smooth transition into senior high school. Stay proactive, confirm your child’s data today, and ensure a stress-free placement season.
