Free digital tools meant to boost academic learning suddenly turned into weapons of discord. Instead of sharing digital resources peacefully, rival factions chose stone-throwing matches that left school authorities running helter-skelter.
Such dramatic showdowns defeat the primary purpose of government educational interventions designed to empower youth. Teachers and local security councils must step up orientation programs to curb unnecessary campus rivalry. After all, books and digital gadgets belong in classrooms rather than chaotic street battles.
