The Ghana Education Trust Fund GETFund has officially launched a massive nationwide furniture appeal for students. This fresh initiative aims to strictly support basic and senior high schools facing serious shortages across the entire country. It completely breaks my heart to know that some young pupils still sit on bare floors or share single desks just to learn. We cannot simply sit back and watch our children struggle to get basic comfort in their classrooms.
Through their Education Financing and Partnership Initiative the national authorities are urgently calling on everybody to help. They want private businesses and generous individuals to quickly donate metal mono desks and bunk beds for our future leaders. We all know the central government is trying to build new blocks but the huge furniture deficits still remain a very big challenge. This is exactly why citizens and religious bodies must step in to bridge the massive gap.
President John Dramani Mahama strongly supports this bold initiative to properly transform the local education sector. The state genuinely needs strategic partnerships and shared national responsibility to fix these lingering infrastructure issues. The truth is that every single desk donated will definitely create a much safer and dignified learning environment for the students. Comfortable seating automatically improves their concentration and helps teachers deliver their daily lessons without any unnecessary frustration.
