The Ministry of the Interior, working closely with the Ghana Police Service, has officially provided financial aid to victims of the recent blaze at the Accra Central Police barracks. Each affected family received GH₵15,000 to assist with their immediate recovery.
Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak confirmed this intervention during a joint visit to the site on Friday with Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. Officials used this time to personally assess the scale of the damage caused by the fire.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has provided GH₵106,000 in cash support to victims of the recent fire outbreak at the Accra Central Police Barracks Trading Area in Tudu. A total of 106 affected traders and residents received GH₵1,000 each during a presentation ceremony at the AMA headquarters on Thursday.
The support follows a visit by Accra Mayor Michael Kpakpo Allotey to the scene, where he assessed the damage and interacted with victims who lost property and goods in the fire.
