Our teachers basically raise our children while we chase money at work every single day. Mr Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu who proudly serves as the Member of Parliament for the Ho Central Constituency totally understands this logic. He just dropped a massive call to action demanding serious investments in women educators across the entire country.
He boldly stated this when he linked up with the Muslim Women in Teaching Ghana for a very special gathering. The vibrant event smartly focused on practical nutrition education in basic schools through the bold leadership of female teachers. Mr Kpotosu passionately explained that feeding young minds the right food directly boosts our national development goals.
You really cannot expect a hungry child to calculate mathematics or pass difficult exams easily. The prominent politician correctly pointed out that properly nourished children learn much faster and perform exceptionally better in class. He also noted that empowered female teachers do so much more than just writing notes on green boards.
Women educators successfully nurture young minds and mold strong character traits while promoting healthy lifestyle choices. This heavy task eventually shapes regular classroom kids into highly responsible future leaders for Ghana. He confidently urged the government and civil society organisations to quickly prioritize these vital nutrition initiatives.
The Volta Regional Manager of the Islamic Education Unit Hajia Samira Abdul Mumin also brought major heat to the conversation. She thanked all stakeholders for backing Islamic educational institutions but quickly asked for even more solid support. She believes sustained teamwork will easily solve the huge developmental needs hiding inside the Muslim community.
Empowering our hardworking women teachers positively transforms individual schools families and entire communities. The Member of Parliament freely promised his full support for all future activities organized by these brilliant Muslim women educators. Paying serious attention to the welfare of our teachers is definitely the smartest investment Ghana could ever make.
