The intersection of religion and mysticism in contemporary West Africa continues to stir massive public intrigue. A prominent Kumasi-based spiritualist, popularly known as Komfo Abronye, has sparked nationwide conversation by claiming that a significant number of modern pastors secretly visit him for spiritual assistance.
Speaking during a live broadcast on Angel FM in Kumasi, the traditional mystic alleged that these religious leaders seek supernatural interventions to dramatically expand their churches and tighten their influence over unsuspecting congregants.
According to the local mystic, these requests frequently involve a specific desire to gain advanced supernatural perception. He claimed that several religious leaders approach him seeking what they openly describe as a “third eye” to enhance their spiritual insight and boost their apparent effectiveness in ministry. This alleged pursuit of mystical vision is reportedly driven by a desire to perform miraculous signs that ultimately validate their authority before a growing crowd.
The spiritualist also pointed out that modern ministry has increasingly transformed into a numbers game. He claimed that many of these visits are centered purely on marketing and growth strategies, with pastors seeking his services specifically to attract thousands of worshippers to their sanctuaries. It appears that the pressure to fill empty pews and maintain massive financial tithing has driven some leaders to look far beyond orthodox prayer.
Beyond mere church growth, the traditional priest revealed a much darker, highly competitive side to local religious organizations. He stated that intense rivalry among certain church leaders has prompted some of them to actively pursue spiritual means of sabotaging and completely destroying their rivals. According to his radio statements, these individuals bring the names of competing pastors with whom they are at loggerheads to diminish their influence and disrupt the physical growth of their rival ministries.
The ultimate goal of this covert spiritual warfare is reportedly to ensure that competing pastors become totally unable to continue the demanding work of keeping their ministries alive. While these explosive claims have taken over social media feeds, Komfo Abronye did not provide any concrete evidence to support his statements, nor did he publicly identify any specific pastors. Because these serious allegations remain completely unverified, they highlight a complex sociological reality where ancient traditional beliefs and mainstream modern religion continuously overlap in the public domain.
