The mood across North Tongu is full of excitement and pride today. Member of Parliament and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa hosted the top six WASSCE performers from his constituency to celebrate their massive academic success.
Instead of just handing over basic certificates, the MP surprised these brilliant young scholars with brand-new MacBooks and full university scholarships from his office. This generous gesture aims to ease their financial burden as they prepare for tertiary education.
Celebrating Top-Tier Academic Achievements
Leading the charge in this stellar group are Freda Esenam Glah, Yvonne Kekeli Doe, and Japhet Akpaglo, who each bagged a mind-blowing seven As. Their hard work paid off big time, placing North Tongu firmly on the national education map.
Not far behind them, Joseph Sokpo secured an impressive six As, while Omoro Sulley and Ewoenam Afua Eleblu scored five As each. These remarkable scores show that brilliant minds are steadily rising from the Volta Region.
Laptops and Full Scholarships to Secure the Future
Honorable Ablakwa explained that these young achievers deserve tangible support to help them chase their biggest dreams. By giving them modern laptops and covering their tertiary tuition, the MP’s office is removing major financial barriers to their university goals.
North Tongu District Chief Executive, Victoria Yawa Doe, coordinated the special hosting event smoothly. Local leaders noted that traditional authority Togbe Worgbedzi feels enormously proud seeing the constituency’s youth shine so brightly on a national stage.
