Campus life at Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon, took an exciting turn today. The initial batch of students has officially moved into the brand-new Ofori Sarpong House, bringing fresh energy to the Legon grounds.
This state-of-the-art 600-bed dormitory was constructed and donated by prominent Ghanaian business executive Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong. Serving as the Global President of the Ɔdadeɛ alumni association, he presented the massive gift to his former school on May 5, 2026, to celebrate his 60th birthday.
Upgrading Student Accommodation at Legon
The arrival of these pioneer residents solves immediate housing pressure for school administrators. Rapidly growing student enrollment previously stretched existing boarding structures, making this infrastructure expansion a massive victory for campus comfort.
The completed two-storey structure features spacious living quarters and modern sanitation facilities. These high-grade amenities provide young Odadeɛ scholars a clean, secure space to study, unwind, and build strong lifelong friendships after intense classroom lectures.
Legacy of Old Boys Philanthropy
Dr. Ofori Sarpong, CEO of Special Group of Companies, explained that his donation stems from profound gratitude to the institution. He noted that his high school years transformed him from a quiet young boy into a bold entrepreneur, driving him to invest directly in the next generation.
