The internal political space of the New Patriotic Party has started buzzing with heavy energy as top executives prepare for upcoming leadership elections. The current National Organiser of the elephant party, Henry Nana Boakye, has officially declared his bid to contest for the National First Vice Chairman position.
Popularly known across various political circles as Nana B, the vibrant politician wants to transition into a much higher administrative role inside the party headquarters. His fresh ambition comes at a very crucial period when the political group is working to rebuild its team following their painful defeat in the 2024 general elections.
The National Organiser officially released his intent statement on Sunday, July 19, 2026, describing the new executive bid as a natural progression of his long-standing dedication to the party. Nana B clarified that he has spent over two decades serving the political group across all major structural levels.
His impressive political journey started far back during the 2000 general elections when he worked tirelessly as an ordinary polling station agent. Over the years, he successfully rose through the ranks to become Polling Station Chairman, constituency Communications Officer, and later served as TESCON President during his university days at both UMaT and KNUST.
Beyond his youthful activism days, the aspiring National First Vice Chairman possesses massive experience when it comes to high-level election planning and legal management. He successfully served as a key member of the NPP legal team during the high-stakes 2020 Presidential Election Petition at the Supreme Court.
Furthermore, Nana B sat on major decision-making bodies including the National Campaign Teams for both the 2020 and 2024 general elections. Having already functioned as National Youth Organiser and the substantive National Organiser, he logically believes that these diverse leadership roles have fully equipped him with the needed skills to manage internal party crises effectively.
The main focus of Nana B’s campaign message centers heavily around total reorganization, party unity, and reconnecting with neglected grassroots members. He explained that his ultimate dream is to rebuild the political structures to ensure the elephant party returns to government in 2028.

He made an open appeal to all party delegates, elder statesmen, regional patrons, and ordinary polling station executives to back his aspiration with prayers and active guidance. The ambitious national executive strongly believes that with unity of purpose and a fresh sense of determination, the party can comfortably secure a massive victory in the next general elections.
