The member of parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng widely known as A-Plus, has fired a heavy warning shot at state authorities.
He stated clearly that the people of Gomoa will declare the government an enemy if justice fails to address the recent bloody clashes.
This fiery reaction follows a violent disturbance at New Winneba in the Central Region which tragically claimed three lives and left many injured.
Speaking on local radio, the outspoken politician expressed deep frustration over how lawlessness and landguard activities continue to endanger innocent citizens.
He pointed out that if the state cannot provide proper protection for communities, residents reserve the right to defend themselves.
The lawmaker gave authorities a strict ultimatum to fish out the real perpetrators behind the chaos instead of sweeping things under the rug.
According to him, a handful of lawless individuals are hiding behind land disputes to cause unnecessary mayhem between neighboring towns.
He also demanded a direct visit from the Inspector-General of Police to calm rising tensions and investigate security conduct during the riot.
Community leaders are now using every platform available to preach absolute peace while waiting for the police administration to act.
