How the police busted the suspects
Ghana Police Service intelligence operatives tracked down two primary suspects to a hideout in Banpanase near Mamponteng.
The arrested men are thirty-two-year-old Salifu Walid from Niger and twenty-four-year-old Aziz Wadrago Mane from Burkina Faso.
Investigators revealed that these suspects belonged to a four-man gang posing as fake football scouting agents on the internet.
They used sweet words and fake trial promises to lure unsuspecting young talents into the country before demanding ransom.
The manhunt for remaining accomplices
Law enforcement officers are not resting yet because two other key members of the criminal network are still running around.
The police have intensified a serious manhunt for Noukoubri Arzouma Sylviain who is also known as Prince Pierre.
Another accomplice identified simply as Barry is also wanted by security agencies for his role in this cross-border crime.
