Another dark cloud has fallen on our roads as a fatal crash on the Sege Ada highway claims thirteen precious lives.
According to updates from the Ghana National Fire Service, the horrific incident involved a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace.
Altogether eighteen passengers were trapped inside these two commercial vehicles when the sudden collision occurred.
Rescuers rushed to the scene to pull victims out, but thirteen souls unfortunately couldn’t make it.
Five other passengers survived the impact with severe injuries and are currently fighting for their lives at the Sege Polyclinic.
Medical teams are working around the clock to stabilize everyone who made it to the hospital alive.
This sad event brings back painful conversations about how fast drivers move along our major national highways.
Speed limits are there for a reason, yet some drivers treat public roads like racing tracks until disaster strikes.
We really need to check our driving habits before another family receives that heartbreaking phone call.
Our roads should lead us safely back to our loved ones instead of turning into traps.
