The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is rolling out a major move to give Ghana youth decent work. By setting up an EV Delivery Brigade across all 16 regions, YEA plans to create over 10,000 jobs through sustainable electric motorbikes.
Youth unemployment has bothered many families for long, but this fresh green transport module brings real hope. The agency is deploying over 10,000 electric bikes to build a regulated, uniformed delivery service that powers our local logistics market.
Young people will get practical skills training in EV repairs, battery maintenance, assembly, and safe riding before hitting the road. This setup ensures every beneficiary gains solid technical experience, not just temporary hustle.
To keep these electric bikes running smoothly, YEA is building EV battery charging and swapping infrastructure nationwide. Riders can easily swap flat batteries for fresh ones without losing precious delivery time or spending high money on petrol.
This green shift directly reduces carbon emissions while cutting daily operation costs for young riders. Clean energy is finally providing real daily bread for our youth.
This initiative offers a reliable pathway from unemployment into structured work under the Youth Employment Act (Act 887) framework. Beneficiaries receive official gear, operational support, and placement within a growing nationwide logistics network.
