87-Year-Old Man Jailed 20 Years for Defiling 9-Year-Old Girl

An 87-year-old man identified as Yaw Gahornu has reportedly been sentenced to 20 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl.

According to reports, the elderly man threatened to kill the child if she disclosed the abuse to anyone.

The case came to light after the girl’s mother reportedly noticed bloodstains on her daughter’s clothing and questioned her about what had happened. The matter was subsequently reported to the police.

The incident has sparked public concern over the sexual abuse of children and the protection of vulnerable young people.

The case has also raised questions about how an elderly man could repeatedly abuse a child who should have been under the protection of adults.
