Twelve people have been arrested by the Northern Regional Police Command over alleged possession of illicit drugs and firearms.
According to the police, items retrieved from the suspects include two locally manufactured pistols, one pump-action gun, six sachets of Tramadol 250mg and 25 wraps of suspected Indian hemp.
The suspects and the retrieved items have been handed over to the Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Drug Law Enforcement Unit for further investigations.
