Carlos Queiroz To Quit Black Stars Over New GFA Clash

Carlos

Carlos Queiroz might be packing his bags and leaving the Black Stars very soon. Recent reports suggest that the experienced Portuguese tactician is struggling to agree on a new contract with the Ghana Football Association. This news comes as a huge shock to many Ghanaians who expected him to stay.

The whole problem is about money and terms. The football authorities initially brought him in on a short term deal to manage the squad during the recent World Cup tournament. Carlos performed quite well and brought a lot of discipline to the playing body. However it seems both parties cannot find common ground on his salary for a permanent contract.

Sources indicate that the GFA wants to pay a specific amount which Carlos feels is too small for his level of expertise. He previously managed top teams like Real Madrid and Manchester United so his demands are naturally high. Because of this stubborn disagreement the GFA is now actively looking at other coaching alternatives.

If Carlos leaves it will disturb the current rebuilding process of the senior national team. The players were just getting used to his tactical instructions and defensive organization. Starting all over again with a brand new coach could delay our progress ahead of the next Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

We all know the Black Stars need stability to bring back our lost glory. The football association must act very fast to either resolve this money issue or hire a competent replacement immediately. Ghanaian football fans are watching closely because we cannot afford another cycle of poor performances on the big stage.
