Driver and Mate Found Dead in Nkawkaw Hotel

A highly mysterious and deeply tragic incident has thrown the quiet town of Nkawkaw into a state of total shock. A commercial vehicle driver and his mate have been found dead under very strange circumstances inside a local guest room.

The two men had checked in to rest after a long road trip, but they unfortunately never made it out alive. The local police command has rapidly stepped into the matter, sealing off the entire property to launch a full-scale criminal investigation into the sudden deaths.

The deceased individuals have been officially identified as thirty-seven-year-old driver Emmanuel Ayisi and his loyal bus mate Emmanuel Dankyi. According to early security reports published on Friday, July 17, 2026, the duo had spent the day traveling all the way from Donkorkrom.

They arrived in Nkawkaw quite late in the evening and logically decided to lodge at the Elsie Hotel to pass the night before continuing their transit journey the next morning. However, hotel staff suffered an absolute heartbreak the following day when they discovered both men completely motionless and unresponsive inside their assigned room.

The management of the hospitality facility immediately placed an emergency call to the Kwahu West Municipal Police Command to report the scary discovery. Security operatives arrived at the scene shortly after to examine the room, search for physical evidence, and safely transport the bodies to the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

To ensure a highly thorough investigation, the police have officially arrested the manager of the hotel alongside the security guard who was on night duty. The two workers are currently inside police custody to assist detectives with vital timelines and check-in logs, helping authorities establish whether any unauthorized intruders accessed the room during the night.

The exact cause of death remains completely unknown to the public, leaving room for heavy speculation among residents in the municipality. Detectives are keeping an open mind, looking into various logical angles such as potential food poisoning, accidental carbon monoxide inhalation, or a hidden physical attack.

The regional police administration has promised to conduct the investigation with extreme professionalism and speed to give the grieving families clear answers. Until the hospital pathfinders release the final medical autopsy report, local commercial drivers are being urged to remain highly vigilant about their personal safety and security whenever they lodge in unfamiliar transit towns.
