Female Boss and 9 Others Busted for Wee Ice Cream Sale

The Narcotics Control Commission has just shocked everyone at Koforidua Technical University. Officers arrested a female ringleader and 9 others for producing and selling wee drinks and ice cream on campus.

The suspects thought they could use the recent SRC Hall Week celebrations to make some quick money. Instead they ended up in handcuffs after a smart intelligence operation by the authorities.

Priscilla Tetteh, a 23 year old student, allegedly operated as the primary female ringleader of this illegal enterprise. She and the nine young men ran an organized network that disguised narcotic drugs as ordinary campus snacks.

It sounds like a movie but this is real life happening right here in Ghana. You go to a stand to buy an ordinary snack to cool down only to realize your sweet treat contains wee.

The Commission revealed that these students packaged the raw drugs into sobolo beverages and toffees to attract unsuspecting buyers. The officers swooped in over the weekend and caught them right in the act of selling these illicit products to other students.

We expect educational institutions to be safe places for learning and building a bright future. Students must never turn these schools into hubs for drug trafficking or risky business ventures.

The authorities have warned that selling any food or beverage containing controlled substances remains strictly illegal under Ghanaian law. All ten suspects currently remain in police custody as they wait to face the law courts.

Parents and guardians really need to pay closer attention to what their wards are doing at school. You send your child to study engineering or marketing and they decide to become a local drug lord instead.
