The Ghana Police Service has rewarded twenty-five hardworking officers with promotions after they successfully executed massive operations against armed robbers and drug traffickers.
The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, approved these well-deserved promotions to honor the bravery shown across the Bono East, Tema, and Western Central Police Regions.
Our officers stayed vigilant on the highways while most citizens were asleep. On the Portor to Kawempe stretch along the Kintampo-Buipe Highway, six violent robbers attacked travelers and bolted with GH¢300,000.
Thanks to sharp intelligence work, the police intercepted the syndicate, arrested the culprits, and recovered every single cedi back to the rightful owner.
In another daring operation, dedicated officers intercepted large quantities of illicit narcotics and seized illegal weapons before criminals could cause havoc.
Among those recognized, Chief Inspectors Bede Nwinbomeh and Joe Tetteh received automatic entry into the prestigious Police Academy.
Detective officers and general rank personnel who risked their lives on patrols also stepped up to higher ranks.
The Police Management Board praised the officers for showing integrity, speed, and patriotism during these dangerous assignments.
IGP Yohuno assured all officers across Ghana that hard work and clean service will always receive genuine recognition.
Community safety improves when the public supports our officers with timely security information. When police and citizens collaborate, street criminals stand zero chance in our nation.
This massive crackdown sends a clear message to all criminal syndicates that Ghana remains completely uncomfortable for illegal acts.
