A troubling report has emerged involving serious claims of misconduct within the Ghana Police Service. General Lance Corporal Nicholas Ohene Ampong Kissi recently alleged that some officers are involved in selling ammunition to criminals. He claims these weapons are used to attack both innocent civilians and other police officers in areas like Ablekuma Central and Ablekuma North.

These allegations surfaced through videos shared on Crime Check TV. The officer specifically mentioned that activities at the Mataheko and Odorkor Police Barracks require urgent attention from the Inspector General of Police. He argues that hardened criminals have allegedly found comfort in these areas and are actively working with corrupt elements to undermine public safety.

The police officer shared his own painful experience to back these claims. He stated that he faced physical assault after trying to raise internal concerns about these activities. He even presented a medical report at a police hospital to show evidence of the harm he allegedly suffered while trying to do his duty.

It is important to note that these are currently serious allegations that need a thorough official probe. The Ghana Police Service faces a massive test of integrity regarding these claims. Citizens are waiting to see how the leadership will address these internal rot reports to restore full public confidence.

We all want a safe country where police officers protect us instead of fueling crime. A quick and transparent investigation by the police hierarchy will help clear the air. Justice must prevail so that those who risk their lives to keep us safe are not betrayed by bad nuts within their own ranks.
