The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has assured the public that there are no payment issues or delays affecting the construction of the La General Hospital project.
He said the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, with commissioning scheduled for January 2028.
The assurance is intended to address concerns about the progress of the hospital project, which is expected to improve access to healthcare for residents of La and surrounding communities.
According to the minister, payments for the project are not facing any challenges that could delay its progress. His comments indicate that the government expects construction to continue towards the stated completion timeline.
Commissioning Expected in January 2028
Akandoh’s projected timeline places the completion of construction at the end of 2027, followed by commissioning in January 2028.
Commissioning would mark an important milestone before the facility begins serving its intended purpose, although the actual start of full hospital operations may depend on other preparations.
The La General Hospital project is expected to strengthen healthcare delivery in the area by improving access to hospital services for residents and nearby communities.
The minister’s assurance on payments and the projected completion date will be important to residents who have been waiting for the project to be completed.
The timeline remains a projection, and progress will depend on construction continuing as planned through the end of 2027.
