President John Dramani Mahama has officially reassigned Kenneth Gilbert Adjei from the Ministry of Works and Housing to head the Ministry of Defence. The seasoned policy administrator brings back deep security experience to protect our territorial integrity.

Kenneth Adjei is no stranger to the defence space. He previously served as Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Defence from 2012 to 2017, proving his solid dedication to national security and regional peace.

Born on September 20 1978, the proud native of Trede in the Ashanti Region built his academic foundation at Opoku Ware School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from GIMPA and an Executive MBA from University of Ghana Business School.

To sharpen his leadership in modern threat analysis, he earned a Master of Arts in Peace, Security and Intelligence Management from UPSA in 2022. He spent recent years researching national defence strategies aimed at curbing terrorist activities across West Africa.
