A viral video later captured an angry civilian physically attacking the detained preacher inside a police station. This shocking breach of protocol caused massive public uproar across the entire country.
According to verified reports by the Ghana Police Service, law enforcement officers swiftly moved to restore order. They arrested the civilian identified as Sibamay Zakaria for allegedly assaulting the pastor while in custody. The Police Professional Standards Bureau launched an immediate investigation into how a member of the public gained access to a secured suspect. Protecting suspects in official custody remains a fundamental duty for every security officer.
Following the initial legal proceedings, the court evaluated the circumstances surrounding the case and granted the pastor bail. Legal experts note that every accused citizen deserves due process rather than mob justice or physical attacks. Taking the law into your own hands only creates unnecessary chaos in our peaceful society. The police have urged all religious leaders and citizens to exercise maximum restraint and maintain peace.
