The grand dream sadly turned into a complete nightmare for a beautiful young nurse named Sandra Baafi Boateng. Sandra’s family recently shared a very heartbreaking update that will surely bring tears to your eyes today.
In November 2025 the Ghana Armed Forces organized a massive recruitment exercise. Thousands of hopeful youth gathered at the famous Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The physical drills were extremely intense and demanding for every single applicant involved. During the rigorous physical fitness test Sandra collapsed suddenly and lost consciousness on the field. The emergency team rushed her away in a very critical medical condition.
Fast forward to today and the situation still looks incredibly gloomy for the poor girl. Nine whole months have passed since that unfortunate incident happened at the crowded stadium. According to her grieving family members Sandra remains completely motionless on her bed. The saddest part is that she still cannot utter a single word to her parents. They watch her daily with heavy hearts while praying for a miraculous recovery.
It deeply pains the soul to see a trained professional nurse reduced to this helpless state. Sandra wanted to serve her nation proudly but ended up fighting for her own life instead. The military authorities and the government really need to step in and fully support her distressed family. Heavy medical bills and daily care costs will definitely drain the finances of any average home very fast.
We must critically review how we conduct these public recruitment exercises moving forward. Pushing applicants until they drop dead or enter a coma makes zero logical sense. The safety of citizens must always come first before any physical fitness test or military drill. Let us all keep young Sandra in our daily prayers and hope she miraculously regains her speech soon
