Drivers and commuters on the Tema-Aflao stretch are facing severe traffic delays due to ongoing project delays. Minister for Roads and Highways Governs Kwame Agbodza has publicly expressed strong dissatisfaction over the sluggish pace of work.

During a recent inspection tour, the minister noted that little to no progress had occurred over the last four months. The 17-kilometre stretch remains a major bottleneck for trade across West Africa.

The Ministry of Roads and Highways has charged assigned contractors First Sky Construction and BHM Construction to immediately speed up operations. Government officials emphasized that funding commitments are secured to keep the project moving forward without excuses.

Commuters using the ECOWAS trade corridor continue to suffer daily productivity losses in heavy gridlock. Faster completion of the road works remains critical for public safety and regional economic flow.
