Ghanaian morning radio and television host Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, left viewers completely speechless during his broadcast. He announced his sudden resignation from Media General live on Onua TV, catching both producers and fans off guard.
The controversial broadcaster dropped the bombshell right at the close of his morning show, Onua Maakye. He stated plainly that he was fed up with working at the media network and wanted to end his appointment. Although he refused to give further details behind his abrupt exit, the casual nature of his announcement stunned people across the country.
Captain Smart joined Media General back in June 2021 after resigning from Angel Broadcasting Network. Prior to that period, he worked with Multimedia Group as the morning show host on Adom FM. His energetic delivery and sharp commentary made his show a popular morning routine for many Ghanaians.
However, his time on air has seen notable friction with regulatory authorities. The National Media Commission issued cautions regarding some of his fiery broadcasts, and he faced police interrogations over his statements. Even with these challenges, he maintained a massive following among morning show audiences.
Media General management has yet to issue a full formal statement explaining how they will fill the vacant morning slot. Fans across social media platforms are actively debating what move the popular presenter will make next.
