The fight against modern crime requires all hands on deck and no single security agency can win this battle alone. Commissioner of Police Mrs Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah recently made this very clear to our law enforcement officers.Cop Tiwaa serves as the Technical Adviser to the Minister of the Interior so she completely understands the serious dynamics of national safety.
During a special gathering in Bolgatanga she urged the various security agencies to seriously strengthen relationships among themselves. This important message landed during the opening of a three day training programme focused on strengthening joint law enforcement. The event specifically targeted operations at the regional security council and community levels to ensure maximum impact.
We all know that criminals are getting smarter and they definitely share information among their hidden networks. Therefore it only makes logical sense for our security forces to also share vital intelligence without any internal rivalry. COP Tiwaa Addo Danquah explained that building a united front is the only practical way to effectively combat crime and neutralise emerging security threats before they escalate.
Cop Tiwaa also stressed the massive importance of building solid trust with the general public. Security agencies cannot simply rely on their uniforms and guns to gather deep community intelligence. Citizens will only report suspicious activities if they genuinely feel safe and respected by the officers patrolling their neighbourhoods.
This strategic advice directly aligns with global policing standards where community collaboration solves more cases than basic force. When officers treat citizens as active partners the entire nation becomes a very difficult place for criminals to hide. Every Ghanaian expects our security agencies to heed this crucial advice and work together seamlessly for our collective peace of mind.
