Another multi-vehicle collision on the Ofankor-Pokuase highway has left one person seriously injured just days after a fatal disaster shook the capital.

The Wednesday Ofankor-Pokuase morning incident involved four vehicles including a VIP bus, a military vehicle, a Toyota Vitz, and a four-wheel-drive unit.

Commuters plying the busy Accra-Kumasi corridor faced heavy traffic gridlock as emergency teams moved swiftly to clear the blocked lanes.

This fresh accident comes hot on the heels of a massive crash on August 13, 2026, which claimed 12 lives and injured over twenty people.

The National Road Safety Authority continues to urge motorists to exercise extreme discipline and reduce speed limits on major highways across the country.
