According to the Customs Act, travelers enjoy specific duty free allowances on personal belongings. You can bring in your worn clothing, electronics, and daily essentials without paying any extra taxes. However, items meant for business, trading, or selling to others do not count as personal effects. Exceeding these legal limits means you must be ready to pay the required duties.
Carrying gifts or multiple gadgets requires honest declaration at the port of entry. The green channel works best for those with standard personal luggage free of commercial intent. Anyone carrying restricted goods or items above the threshold should use the red channel immediately. Transparency saves you from unnecessary stress and protects your precious time at the terminal.
