The Central Region has witnessed painful moments following a bitter land disagreement. Violence erupted between residents of Gomoa Oguaakrom and New Winneba over property boundaries. Tragically, lives were lost and several people sustained injuries during the unfortunate chaos. Community members now walk around with heavy hearts as tension grips the area.
Honourable Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Member of Parliament for Effutu, stepped forward urgently. He teamed up with Gomoa Central legislator Kwame A-Plus to calm down agitated youth. Both political leaders urged residents to lay down their tools of anger immediately. Fighting over plots of earth will never bring back the precious souls who departed.
The Ghana Police Service has deployed security personnel to maintain strict order everywhere. Security teams are working round the clock to prevent any form of reprisal attack. Traditional rulers from both factions are also holding meetings to resolve boundary issues amicably. Dialogue remains the golden key to unlocking permanent harmony in these neighboring communities. Citizens must remember that no piece of land is ever worth shedding blood. Let us support our leaders and law enforcement agencies as they restore absolute peace. Unity brings true development while foolish clashes only leave families in deep sorrow.
