The New Patriotic Party is seriously angry and they are taking their frustrations to the streets of Accra. Henry Nana Boakye, who we all know as Nana B, is leading a massive demonstration tomorrow, August 6, 2026.
Nana B actually fired up party supporters today by leading them in energetic party songs ahead of the main event. He wants every Ghanaian to know that the current government is practising selective justice.
The main spark for this huge anger is the recent court ruling that freed Sedina Tamakloe Attionu. She was the former Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre.
A High Court previously sentenced her to ten years in prison for causing financial loss to the state. Suddenly, the Court of Appeal overturned that decision and set her entirely free.
According to Nana B, the Mahama administration orchestrated this acquittal purely for political reasons. He finds it very funny how the state suddenly presented a weak defense during the appeal process.
The NPP also feels bitter because the police recently arrested some of their own party members. They believe the government punishes opposition members quickly but miraculously saves its own people from going to jail.
Citi News confirms that the Greater Accra Regional Police Command has fully approved the protest route. The angry crowd will gather at the Supreme Court at dawn and march all the way to the Jubilee House.
This demonstration is a loud warning to the authorities. Nana B and the entire NPP want the judiciary to remain independent and stop bowing to unnecessary political pressure.
We will keep our eyes on the streets tomorrow to see how everything unfolds. The fight for true democracy and fair justice in Ghana has just taken a very dramatic turn.
