The University of Ghana (UG) has directed undergraduate students who obtained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) below 1.00 at the end of the 2025/2026 academic year to withdraw from their programmes.
The directive affects students whose academic performance fell below the university’s stated minimum threshold. The affected students have been advised to check their academic status through the university’s Management Information System (MIS) Web.
Students Asked to Check Their Academic Status
According to the directive, students who fall within the affected category should verify their academic records on the MIS Web to determine their current standing.
Those required to withdraw have also been instructed to submit their withdrawal requests through the Student and Staff Portal (STS).
The university’s instructions are intended to guide affected students through the required administrative process following the release of their academic results.
What Affected Students Should Do
Students who obtained a CGPA below 1.00 are advised to take the following steps:
- Log in to the University of Ghana’s MIS Web and check their academic status.
- Confirm whether they have been directed to withdraw from their programmes.
- Follow the university’s instructions and submit the required withdrawal request through the STS portal.
- Contact the appropriate university authorities if they need clarification about their academic standing or the withdrawal process.
University Academic Regulations
The directive highlights the importance of meeting the university’s academic performance requirements to remain enrolled in an undergraduate programme.
