Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has encouraged voters to retain the NPP in power so that it would continue with the numerous developments the government has initiated in many parts of the country.
Addressing a mammoth rally in Sefwi Asawinso as part of his tour of the Western North Region, Dr Bawumia who alluded to the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration within the last seven years said the NPP has all takes to transform Ghana into a first world country when offered the opportunity to continue with their governance.
“As you all know and very much aware, Ghana develops very fast when NPP in power and Western North will certainly gets its share of the developments under a Bawumia administration as well…,” he said.
The Vice President in line with this pledged to create a new administrative district for the Sefwi Asawinso and Asafo areas if elected President in the upcoming general elections.
He told the large crowd at Asawinso that the creation of a separate district will bring governance closer to the people, facilitating improved infrastructure, healthcare, education, and job opportunities.
The proposed is expected to accelerate development in the Sefwi Asawinso-Asafo area, which has long been advocating for its own administrative district.
“We have heard your concerns, and we know the difficulties you face in accessing government services. Creating a district here will not only ease that burden but will also ensure that more resources are channeled directly to your communities,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
