Nigerian star producer and party-starting DJ, Neptune, continues to solidify his status as an innovator with the release of the third installment in his acclaimed Greatness album series. Spanning 14 dynamic tracks, Greatness 3 traverses a multitude of sounds, genres, and moods, all expertly crafted with a mix of emerging and established talent from across the African continent.
In an interview with Apple Music, DJ Neptune shared his vision for the album: “Keep your mind open, and feel the great vibe,” he encouraged. With contributions from a bevy of young and talented artists, Neptune emphasized his intentional focus on showcasing the next generation of African music leaders.
The album offers something for everyone, from R&B lovers to dance enthusiasts. Tracks like ‘Wait for You’ bring smooth R&B vibes, while the collaboration with Olivetheboy on ‘Emmanuella’ promises an infectious dancefloor hit. Other highlights include the feel-good track ‘Body’ with L.A.X, and ‘Too Much’ featuring the high-energy duo Ajebo Hustlers. For fans of dancehall, Neptune taps into a different vibe with ‘Tonight’, a standout collaboration with Ugandan artist Joshua Baraka.
