Ghana’s Black Stars Finalize Squad Numbers Ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Ghana Black Stars have officially confirmed their squad numbers for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. This major global tournament will take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi retains the iconic number 1 shirt as the team’s first-choice shot-stopper. Joseph Anang will wear number 12 and Benjamin Asare takes number 16 to solidify the goalkeeping depth.

Captain Jordan Ayew continues to lead the team in his familiar number 9 jersey. Brandon Thomas-Asante receives the prestigious number 10 shirt, which is traditionally reserved for creative squad leaders.
