Kasoa: 15 people are killed and 35 injured in an explosion (Video)

A terrible explosion on the Kasoa-Winneba road this afternoon resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 15 individuals and the injuries of over 35 more.

The ongoing Winneba road project explosion happened as construction workers were blasting rock.

The explosion, according to eyewitnesses at the scene, caused severe damage since a massive piece of rubble struck and crushed surrounding houses and unwary people.

The explosion’s impact was so great that it left a path of devastation in its wake, taking lives and seriously injuring a number of people.

Since then, emergency personnel have raced to the scene and are working nonstop to recover survivors and get the injured people to local hospitals so they can receive critical care.

Although the extent of the devastation is still being evaluated by the authorities, more deaths are anticipated as rescue operations carry on.
