Forecast data shows that areas like Accra, Cape Coast, and Kasoa currently face a 40% chance of experiencing thunderstorms this afternoon. This has raised public concern as these areas are known to suffer flooding during heavy rains.

🌧️ Risk of Flooding and Wind Damage

GMet is urging residents to take precautionary measures to avoid damage to property and harm to life. The agency noted that moderate to strong winds could lead to falling trees, damage to billboards and light structures, as well as disruption of daily activities.

Motorists and pedestrians are also cautioned to stay off flooded roads, as water levels may rise quickly in some areas, making navigation dangerous.

🌊 Rough Sea Conditions

In addition to the rainstorm, the agency reports that the state of the sea remains rough. Fisherfolk, boat operators, and residents along the coastline are advised to avoid sea travel and stay updated with local advisories.
