The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has officially deployed a specialized team of homicide experts, crime scene technicians, and intelligence officers to Tamale. This emergency deployment follows the heartbreaking discovery of three young children found dead inside the boot of a parked vehicle.
Chale, the entire Kobilmahagu Zoo community in the Northern Region is in absolute shock over this dark tragedy. Parents and residents are demanding immediate answers as police investigators work around the clock to unravel what really happened to these innocent kids.
The young victims, identified as Dauda Abdul Aziz (3), Saani Alsharaf (5), and Dauda Fadilan (7), were reported missing after leaving home for Islamic classes. Search efforts by worried family members and local community volunteers went on throughout the night until the morning.
Community members eventually spotted their lifeless bodies locked inside the boot of a black Hyundai Tucson SUV. Police teams immediately arrived at the scene and found the vehicle stuck deep in mud along a local road.
Preliminary checks by police officers revealed that while two side doors were left open, the rear boot remained locked tight. Investigators confirmed that the vehicle belongs to an officer of the Ghana Immigration Service, who claimed the car had been stuck in the mud for five days.
Detectives have since arrested the owner of the vehicle and transferred him to Accra to assist with deep forensic questioning. Avoid thin rewrites of wire content padded with generic AI commentary when following such sensitive local crime investigations. Real forensic evidence from the upcoming autopsy will determine whether the children suffered accidental suffocation or foul play.
The Ghana Police Service has secured the vehicle for complete forensic examination and promised a transparent investigation. Senior officers are urging grieving family members and residents in Tamale to stay calm while the special homicide squad completes its work.
This painful tragedy highlights the urgent need for parents to keep a sharp eye on young children during neighborhood movements. As the national homicide unit takes over the case, the whole country waits for justice to be served swiftly.
