The Branch Manager of Oyibi Area Community Bank PLC, Adjetey Isaac Noi, has been accused of allegedly stealing GH¢1 million from the bank.

The 28-year-old banker is accused of reactivating a customer’s dormant account without permission and allegedly using it to move the money.

According to the prosecution, Noi allegedly transferred the GH¢1 million to several accounts held at other banks.

He is currently before the Adenta Circuit Court facing a charge of stealing.

Noi has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The case is still before the court, and the allegations against him have not been proven.

The court is expected to hear further evidence as the case progresses.

The case has also raised concerns about the importance of strong controls in the banking sector, particularly in handling dormant customer accounts.

At 28, the case has also sparked discussions about the pressure to achieve financial success at a young age.

However, the court process will determine the facts of the case and whether the accused is guilty of the alleged offence.
