Angry New Patriotic Party regional executives in the Oti Region have raised serious concerns over stalled infrastructural projects initiated under the Akufo Addo administration. Speaking through local channels, these leaders lamented that contractors left various sites empty while residents continue to suffer daily hardships due to poor roads and incomplete social amenities.
Political power is meant to bring development rather than endless frustration for citizens who voted massively for progress. Abandoning community hospitals, school buildings, and major feeder roads defeats the core purpose of governance and wastes scarce national revenue. Taxpayers deserve value for money instead of seeing concrete pillars overgrown with thick weeds across rural districts.
Regional executives are therefore calling on relevant state ministries to immediately inspect these neglected sites of the Akufo Addo administration and release funds for contractors to return. Public infrastructure belongs to the state not Akufo Addo and must never suffer abandonment simply because political regimes or local leadership structures shift. Government agencies must act swiftly to rescue these dying projects before local anger boils over completely.
