Political excitement is hitting top gear today as party delegates gather in the garden city. The New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region is holding a crucial election to pick brand new leaders. Everyone is watching closely because this stronghold region matters heavily for the party.
A total of one thousand and twenty delegates have stormed the Kumasi Jubilee Park for the exercise. Thirty four bold aspirants are fiercely battling across eleven executive positions today. Party faithfuls hope this exercise will strengthen internal structures and build stronger grassroots unity.
The chairmanship race has clearly stolen the entire show with a massive faceoff. Odeneho Kwaku Appiah popularly known as COKA is locking horns with Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu. Both politicians carry massive experience and deep networks within the party machinery.
Security agencies and election officials have tightened all loose ends to guarantee a peaceful process. Police officers are fully on the ground to maintain strict law and order throughout voting. Delegates expect a transparent contest that will position the party strongly for future battles.
