My brother, security matters in Accra are not things we use to play games at all. Four people have found themselves in serious trouble after security personnel spotted them operating drones directly over the headquarters of the Economic and Organised Crime Office.

This high drama unfolded while high profile investigations were ongoing at the state investigative body. People in the neighborhood were surprised to see small flying gadgets hovering around sensitive government property where strict rules apply. Law enforcement officers acted swiftly to pick up the suspects before things could get out of hand.

Operating unmanned aerial vehicles near national security zones without official clearance remains a serious offense under Ghanaian law. Security experts have repeatedly warned citizens that major state installations are classified as restricted airspace to protect sensitive state information. Flying remote cameras near these locations easily raises red flags because authorities cannot immediately tell if it is ordinary photography or espionage. Citizens must understand that security agencies take aerial surveillance around their premises very seriously.

Investigations are currently underway to find out the real motive behind this unauthorized drone flight near the state agency. Police and intelligence units are questioning the suspects to determine whether they were working alone or hired by external interests. Ghanaians on social media have been sharing mixed reactions about how ordinary people still take airspace rules for granted. This incident serves as a sharp reminder that flying tech gadgets requires proper permits to avoid unnecessary brush with the law.
