Wendy Shay has done it again and this time she took her magic all the way to America. The talented Ghanaian Afrobeats powerhouse just grabbed the biggest prize at the Ghana Music Awards USA 2026. She officially won the ultimate Artiste of the Year crown and her fans are jubilating everywhere.
We all know the music industry is very tough but she proved her critics wrong through pure hard work. She faced heavy competition from top stars like Black Sherif and Stonebwoy who also wanted the beautiful crown. But the Shay Gang voted massively and their lovely queen carried the heavy trophy home.
Wendy Shay immediately gave thanks to God for this massive victory and dedicated it to her loyal supporters. She posted her joy online saying God did it and he is always present in her musical journey. It is truly inspiring to see a young woman dominate the Afrobeats space with such strong beautiful energy.
This victory simply tells us that our local talents are making huge waves on the global entertainment stage. Organisers of the awards created this powerful platform to celebrate Ghanaian music abroad and it is working perfectly. Artists now know that their sleepless nights in the studio will definitely bring international recognition and respect.
We expect more hit songs from her camp because this award will definitely boost her confidence to work even harder. If anyone thought she was going to slow down anytime soon they better think again and maybe buy some earplugs. Wendy Shay is currently ruling her musical kingdom and we honestly cannot wait to see what she drops next.
